InnovateHER: 2016 Innovating for Women, Business Challenge Challenge Criteria InnovateHER provides an opportunity for entrepreneurs to showcase products or services that have a measurable impact on the lives of women and families (30%), have the potential for commercialization (40%), and fill a need in the marketplace (30%). How to Participate No later than December 3, 2015, Maricopa SBDC will submit one local winner to the SBA, who will then identify up to 10 finalists. These finalists will be invited to travel to the Washington D.C. metro area on March 17, 2016 for a live pitch competition and compete for up to $70,000 in prize money provided by Microsoft. Applications and materials due Friday, October 16, by 5:00 PM MST (AZ) - October 16 – Submit this application, investor pitch presentation (10 slides max) and a business plan with executive summary to rebecca.pruitt@domail.maricopa.edu - October 30 – Semi-finalist will be notified to give pitch on November 5 at the “Go Beyond – Small Business Summit” - November 5 – Competition + Pitch: 3:30 to 6:30pm - November 20 - Finalist from the Maricopa SBDC will be notified and their entry will be submitted to the SBA for consideration.
