Owning your own business is a great way to accomplish your dreams and add value to your community. In the right situation, owning a franchised business can make it easier for first-time business owners to take on this challenge. In this course we will talk about how to discover and explore the possibilities that are out there as well as how to do an evaluation of a few key areas: career background, personality style, finances, business areas of interest, how to use other people’s money to fund the startup and understanding the key franchise documents. Speaker(s): Loren Kutsko helps individuals explore franchised business ownership through one-on-one coaching. He teaches “Owning and Operating a Small Business” at Phoenix College and mentors new ventures at Seed Spot. Prior to focusing on helping entrepreneurs with their own businesses, Loren was the Chief Operations Officer for Brushfire Interactive, a tech startup here in Arizona and the Chief Information Officer at Food for the Hungry, an international humanitarian agency headquartered here in Phoenix.
